iPad Mini is Just Like iPad, and Only Better
Apple announced the iPad Mini, which was the first iProduct which had so less anticipation from consumers. Lines outside the Apple stores were small enough, and at some stores there were no lines. iPad Mini was underwhelming for some people. But for some this is just an iPad with a small screen and less price than full sized iPad.
At $329, iPad mini is damn expensive than any other 7 inch tablet. For the record, Nexus 7 ships at just $199, which is $130 less than iPad Mini. So what iPad mini has that premium for this premium price? Answer is bit hurting. Nothing.
iPad mini falls short at every end when we compare it to any 7" tablet. The only thing iPad mini can boast about is Apple's logo. Yeah it has got it on its back.
iPad mini as compared to larger version also falls short. In terms of specs, it has got nothing boastful. iPad mini has a poor A5, year old processor. RAM is not much, might be around 512 MB, I suppose.
But hey, its 2012. World no longer works 'only' on specs. iPad mini runs on iOS, which unlike Android has Zero lag. Scrolling, panning and everything feels smooth, even on a year old hardware.
iPad when arrived, was successful because of its screen size. 10" screen was good enough for casual browsing, soft core email and was great for Twitter, Facebook and watching HD content. Great screen plus the 10 Hour inevitably large battery life was success formula for Apple.
iPad Mini is featured with a 7.9 inch screen. Just a inch or half smaller than the original iPad, so whats the catch? We measure screen size diagonally, so 7.9 inch is way smaller than 10 inch screen. But still iPad mini has a screen that is bigger than most 7 inch tablets and could be held easily in one hand.
Also, a battery life better than iPad is surely welcomed. It gives a consistent battery life of 12 Hours with moderate usage and is one of those devices which outperform from what has been stated on Apple's website.
What makes iPad Mini so special is its design. Nothing Much.
The ability to hold iPad Mini is just as good as comparing weight of both iPads. iPad Mini just feels right. Combination of Lightness plus bigger screen, than most of seven inch tablet, makes it a perfect machine.
Talking about the year old hardware, you'll only feel it when playing graphic intensive games. But for casual work, which I suppose most people do, it do not show lag, just like any other iOS device.
Typically speaking, on couch weight do matter. Holding the original iPad was a kind of 'Doing Weightlifting.' iPad Mini makes your hand feel comfortable after long work hours. You can hold it in one hand and still enjoy full HD videos.
PROS:
CONS:

Google Apps Is No Longer Free
Don't be annoyed by the name. Google Apps is a suite for small business users who wants personalized email address and other collaborative web apps. Though for small businesses Google being very kind gave away free edition of their Google Apps for utmost 10 users. Now the time being right, they have pulled away the free edition of Google Apps, and offering just one unified premium Google Apps for all kind of businesses.
Also, Google says, it has no impact on existing customers. And Google Apps for education will be as always, free for schools and universities.
For a comparison Microsoft also offers a similar web suite for businesses. But unlike Google Apps it was always paid. Microsoft cheapest Office 365 tier, the small business offering, costs $6 per user per month, or about $72 a year. Google Apps, cost $50 per individual per year.
We'll keep you updated if Google Apps (The Free Version) again surfaces for sign-up, though I don't think it will do.
The official Google Apps blog says
"When we launched the premium business version we kept our free, basic version as well. Both businesses and individuals signed up for this version, but time has shown that in practice, the experience isn't quite right for either group. Businesses quickly outgrow the basic version and want things like 24/7 customer support and larger inboxes."While the reason might not be cleared under the fog, some analysts points at the flooding of Google Apps (free version) with lots of small-not-so-businesses or with small-website-owners. Although the official statement says, business often outgrows the basic version, but this doesn't solve the mystery of "Why to stop offering one."

How to Hard Reset Your iPad (Quick Tips)
Sometimes your iPad may start to act funny, such as running slow or freezing up. If this ever happens to you, there’s an easy solution that usually takes care of the problem right away. That solution is simply to perform a hard reset on your iPad.
A hard reset your iPad is not the same as restoring it to a previous backup or resetting to factory settings. Some people often get the two confused. Resetting an iPad just means that your data and settings will be refreshed, which helps to reset buggy apps among other things. Basically, it’s like the restart function on your computer.
A hard reset is really easy to do as long as you know where the on/off button and the home button is. You can see where they’re located in the image below.
1. Now comes the hard part, hold down the on/off button and home button at the same time.
2. Keep holding; you need to hold both buttons down for about 10 seconds.
3. While holding, you may see the “slide to power off” screen show up; just ignore this.
4. You’ll know that your device has been successfully refreshed once the Apple logo displays on the start up screen; you can now release the buttons.
5. Wait for your iPad to start up; usually after a hard refresh, it can take 1-2 minutes.
That’s it. For the record, this also works on the iPhone.

iPad mini win battery life shootout among several tablets
UK consumer watchdog site Which? has tested the world's leading tablets to see how their battery life compares and both the iPad with Retina display and the iPad mini came out on top by a large margin.
To be fair to all tablets, Which? took into account the screen size and brightness of each one. First, testers divided the tablets into two categories: those with screen sizes of 9.4-inches and larger and those with screen sizes of 7.9-inches and smaller. Then the company used a light meter to set the screen brightness of each tablet to 200 nits. For its tests, Which? measured the battery life of the tablets while using WiFi and 3G connections (if applicable) for web browsing and while watching videos.
Out of the seven tablets tested in the 10-inch category for WiFi browsing, the iPad with Retina display handily beat out the rest of the competition. It tallied up a total of 811 minutes of WiFi browsing (that's 13.5 hours). The iPad 2 came in a distant second place at 590 minutes (9.8 hours). By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 came in at 532 minutes (8.8 hours) and the Microsoft Surface RT came in at 501 minutes (8.3 hours). The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime came in at the bottom with a mere 335 minutes (5.5 hours).
Of the five tablets tested in the 7-inch category the iPad mini was the big winner -- and by a wide margin. It came in at 783 minutes (13 hours) while the runner up, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD, came in at 591 minutes (9.8 hours). The Nexus 7 scored third at 550 minutes (9.1 hours) while the Amazon Kindle Fire came in at 437 minutes (7.2 hours) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 came in last at 425 minutes (seven hours).
