Chrome 19 For Mac OS X : The fastest browser

For people in case wondering, Chrome 19 is the fastest browser on Mac OS X. Google is doing some great job. Also a thing to note is, Safari, by Apple, is no where in the Top 5 Browsers in terms of speed. Bad day Apple. Keep innovating. 

The data shows that Chrome version 19 -- version 23 was released today, for those keeping track -- is actually the fastest browser on OS X. In fact, the top five fastest browsers are various versions of Chrome, with version 19 followed by versions 21, 22, 20, and 18. Firefox finally appears in the sixth spot with its 15th version.

 Top 4 positions are occupied by Chrome's different versions -- 19, 21, 20, 18. Last but not the least, Firefox 15 is at 5th position.

iDisplay: Nothing special, it can work both for PC and Mac and is priced at $4.99. 

You will be presented with instructions on their respective site but here are some general ones.

Firstly, download app on your Tablet and on your PC. Check if your Tablet and PC are connected on the same Wifi network. Then Open app on your Tablet and select name of your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions and your Tablet will be connected with your PC. 

You can also invest in some sturdy stand for your Tablet to make it feel more like an External Monitor.

How To Change Default Search Engine To Google In Internet Explorer 10

Microsoft has done a pretty good job in hiding the option of changing default search engine in Internet Explorer 10. Though they want to make people love Bing but its not possible, at least now.  You need to make changes in Desktop version of Internet Explorer. Since both share the same files, Metro version will also have Google as default search engine. Reverting Google back to default is fairly simple process, so lets get started. 

First of all, you need to access Desktop, which can be done by either clicking on Desktop app in start screen or by pressing Windows+D 

Now open Internet Explorer and click on small gear icon on top right corner and after clicking it, click Manage Add-ons. 

  
Now click on Search providers on the left panel and then at the bottom of windows click find more search providers. A page will open up and locate Google on it. 

Click on Google and it will prompt you for installing it. Click Add. Now in both versions of Internet Explorer, that is Metro as well as Desktop, Google will be default search engine. Now close and reopen Internet Explorer to make your changes take effect.

Speed Up File Copying Rate With TeraCopy

Copying large files can give a pain sometimes. Since Windows inbuilt copy/paste transfer dialog is slow and it can annoy you sometimes. Windows 8 has dropped the primitive Copy/paste dialog while adding features like pause, graphs etc. Although, it's good but it isn't available in Windows 7, Vista or XP. (Vista's Copy/Paste is obnoxious)

Tera Copy from Code Sector is free file copying utility that decreases time to finish copying a file. Its just 2.8 MB file and I am pretty amazed how much they have packed in such a small file size. Just like Windows 8, TeraCopy can pause the ongoing file transfer. Also, a quick thing to note is, this is one of those products which do not annoy users. It can overcome the default Windows Explorer Copy/paste dialog so it do not ask you again and again to make it your default file transfer software (One annoying thing that our browsers do) 

 In a case if there is a coping error then TeraCopy will try several times to recover, and in the worst case scenario, will simply skip the file and not terminating the whole transfer. Overall this is a must have software for every Windows User and did I mentioned this service is free.
