E3 2012: Sony builds on the cloud gaming

You learned this morning in the news that Sony has long planned to distribute only the next Playstation games as downloadable form, before backtracking. The Japanese automaker has apparently decided to spell the end of physical media, since according to the site MCV, Sony is expected to announce at the upcoming E3 redemption of a major player in cloud gaming. The names of OnLive and Gaikai have even been mentioned. According to our colleagues to Eurogamer, the agreement would relate indirectly Playstation consoles: it would be primarily to provide a service cloud gaming on Sony TV connected. But Sony could also rely on the experience of this cloud gaming specialist to offer streaming games over the next Playstation.
