By changing WebKit sauce, Samsung would launch its own browser in order to integrate its Android smartphones.
According to the newspaper Electronic Times, Samsung would develop its own mobile browser now. Just like Safari and Chrome, the WebKit rendering engine is used. The objective of giant smartphones is simple: to provide a better experience (read speed, benchmarks ...), while trying to withdraw once more Google image of its terminals. The information is supported by recent jobs that have been issued for the R & D branch of Samsung U.S..
WebKit is an open source rendering engine. Knowing Apple and Google have contributed Samsung somehow benefit the work of its competitors. The idea behind this is to use the browser in all new smartphones from Samsung, so it plays an important role in TouchWiz, layer the manufacturer. This show once again that the Korean wants to get rid of the image of Google, as it has already done with the calendar, email client ... (or not even pronounce the word Apps at the presentation of the Galaxy S3).
