5. Autonomous Cars: 

Google owns a patent for the self driving cars. On their channel on YouTube they showed off a video of a car that drives by its own. 

Crazy enough but they are testing it on the streets of Nevada. GPS, Tracking, self-parking system seems a technology of the past when considering this Future tech.

4. Artificial Meat:  

In an attempt to protect the mother nature, Dutch scientists are evolving a new kind of meat that is artificially created. They are looking up for a Lab-Grown meat that can improve the efficiency by at least 35%. 

The practice turns stem cells from animals into inch-long strips of muscle tissue, which can then be mashed together to create a patty. PETA hopes to do the same with chicken by the end of June.

3.  Space Elevator:

Japan dreams of creating an elevator that can connect a space station to our earth. It will extend with a really strong cable from the space station to the ground. 22,000 miles is the distance which it will travel at an average speed of 125 m/h. 

Seems quite impossible now but Japan is ambitious about the project and also say they'll be able to complete the project till 2050. 

2. Robots :

Every Sci-Fi movie has included the Robots. Showed off like helping humans or destroying them. But the point is Robots are the Base of Future. 

According to a study, Around 2020 1 out of every 3 households will use robots to help with the daily chores. 

1. Invisible Car:

To promote its new fuel cell vehicle, which has zero exhaust emissions, Mercedes pulled a stunt that showed off an "invisible" car with incredibly low environmental impact.

Although Mercedes says the hydrogen-powered drive system is "ready for series production," it's speculated to not be in commercialization until 2014.
