A million people have registered to Outlook.com within 6 hours after its launch. The information was tweetée by Microsoft on its Twitter account @ Outlook. The tweet was accompanied by a link to a graph showing the popularity figures.
Outlook.com should eventually supplant the Hotmail service acquired by Microsoft in 1997 for $ 400 million. It takes the name of the Outlook email client.
