HP says Surface is no competition.

Not anywhere upto the mark is what the HP PC Head Todd Bradley thinks of the Microsoft's Surface tablet. He believes Surface is laggy in various aspects and in his terms,"the press has made a bigger deal out of Surface than what the world has chosen to believe".

The above harsh words from the HP executive doesn't set good terms between Microsoft and HP who have been significant hardware partners erstwhile. However one has come across various versions of HP's executives implying why Surface doesn't mean competition for them.

Back in August HP's vice president John Solomon remarked, “I believe Microsoft was basically making a leadership statement and showing what’s possible in the tablet space...It's a model, not meant for competition”. On the other hand HP PC head believes Microsoft is keeping the device distribution pretty low at the first place.

Anyhow barring all the allegations, HP which is constantly losing its market share is sure to face competition from Surface. Bradley even adds that HP is taking its time to root itself getting things sorted and one shouldn't expect a new tablet from them anytime soon.
