The Anonymous have once again hit the major oil companies on the Web by publishing a new series of over 700 email addresses along with their password hashes. Five companies accused of contributing to the melting of Arctic ice caps have been targeted: BP, Exxon, Shell and Russian giants Gazprom and Rosneft.
According to information of The Next Web, the data was recovered without resorting to a hard-on hacking websites and sub domains poorly managed. The passwords are encrypted, hackers have relied on volunteers to try to decipher. For now at least, if these data were not used maliciously.
A first series of over 300 addresses had already been released in June.
