Apple iPhone cut production to accommodate the following ...?

Apple iPhone

Every year since 2007, Apple should introduce a new iPhone model, representing the sixth generation of the product, after the current iPhone 4S. Speculations are still unclear about its features while it is supposed to represent this famous model completely revised and compatible LTE already expected in October 2011.

The launch window most often offered in the fall for the rumors, even if the WWDC developers conference in June should provide some information, at least on the evolution of the IOS platform.

And according to analyst Shaw Wu, according to information obtained from component suppliers, Apple has substantially reduced its production of iPhone, the order of 20 to 25%, to prepare for the arrival of the next model.

Shaw Wu is considering launching a new iPhone around September or October, leaving two quarters assemblers to prepare the first volumes and manage inventory. A similar decision was made last year for the iPhone 4 in preparation for the launch of the iPhone 4S.

The same analyst expects Apple could not deliver this quarter as 26 to 28 million iPhones, down from the 30-31000000 expected by analysts in general. The possible decline would not be due to weak demand.

Side of the new iPad, everything goes well and delivered volumes might even be slightly higher than projected by the addition of a supplier for the Retina display 2048 x 1536 pixels (Sharp, probably). This could therefore volume iPad around 15 million units rather than 14 million previously anticipated.
